Due to a recent injection of significant capital, Red Smoke Alarms are launching into their next major growth phase resulting in many newly created roles, a significant increase in marketing activity and even more investment into its people, end users and channels to market. What does an average week look like?

Working to your strengths, you will be in a high profile, key sales role responsible for developing, growing and managing client relationships and accounts within. More specifically this will see you:
  • Generating leads across Wholesalers (Electrical predominately) and opening new accounts/branches as well generating leads across major end user and service providers that will create further demand and loyalty
  • Maintaining and building strong existing relationships that will see a further increase in new accounts, purchasing frequency and value
  • Developing and executing regionally and/or customer specific promotional campaigns including instore promotions, short term discounts or offers and engagement campaigns with end users
  • Be setting your agenda daily. You will be empowered to create a sales plan and call cycle for your territory and then to execute on this, tracking the sales growth and opportunities as you go
  • Be business planning constantly - with accurate volume forecasting
  • Be collaborating with your colleagues and broader sales teams to identify and grow revenue opportunities within your territory
Here’s what it will take: 
  • You will have a strong foundation of sales and/or brand activation experience into the Trade (B2B) and likely have been in a Business Development Manager, Account Manager and/or Sales Executive role (or similar). Those candidates with electrical product wholesale experience (or similar) will be viewed favourably 
  • You have a passion for sales and the trade industry, and you thrive in a role where you are out of the office and on the road, developing new business and growing existing accounts and relationships
  • You are self-motivated, goal driven, have a healthy sense of initiative and work well within a small team
  • You have a customer focus, excellent communication skills and a thirst for results
  • You demonstrate exceptional professional relationship-building skills, and you have strong commercial acumen. You take a genuine interest in your customers and seek to understand how you can add value to their businesses
  • You can confidently provide the ‘pitch’ and back yourself at every turn
  • You can identify opportunities with innovative solutions and be able to converse and present to all levels
  • You are professionally mature: you inspire confidence, you are commercial, and you are motivated by driving a customer-led agenda
  • You have always demonstrated sound judgment: in anticipating challenges, problem-solving, and seeking the right resources to resolve issues
